Longtime resident looking to further serve local community

Firefighter Scott Skrynecki, a life-long resident of Hicksville and member of the Hicksville Fire Department, recently announced his candidacy for commissioner of the Hicksville Fire District.

Following in the drumming footsteps of his grandfather and father, Skrynecki is a member of the Nassau County Police Pipe Band and drum instructor for the Nassau County Firefighters Pipe Band. He has been dating his girlfriend, Jessica, an attorney and police officer whom he met in law school, for four years and is thrilled to have her support and the support of his friends and family.
