Tusa (right) hosted a Firematic Awards Ceremony on June 8 at the Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative Building in Mineola. Honorary Chief Joseph Giardina of the Hicksville Fire Department (center) was presented an award for his 50 years of dedication and service. “I can think of no more worthy cause than to support our firefighters and emergency medical responders,” said Mangano. “Today we honor our brave first responders who have gone above and beyond the call of duty and consistently risk their own lives to protect our Nassau County residents.”
