Nassau County Holds COVID-Safe Winter Clothing Distribution

Nassau County Executive Laura Curran recently hosted the county’s annual Winter Clothing Distribution, which included a major donation by the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office of jackets seized during the course of a crackdown on illegal counterfeit activities.

The event, modified due to COVID-19, distributed 200 boxes of winter clothing directly to approximately 50 churches and community-based organizations. Boxes contained assorted sizes of men’s, women’s, and children’s hats, gloves, socks, and jackets. The County Executive thanks the Office of District Attorney Madeline Singas, Department of Human Services, Office of Minority Affairs, Office of Hispanic Affairs, Office of Asian American Affairs, Office of Housing, Office of Emergency Management, and Department of Public Works for making this event possible.
